Breaking News: (From a radio interview) Mike Evans, of Hollywood Reporter, has been a friend of Gov. Abercrombie's for "decades". Evans spoke to him yesterday. "Neil and I spent a lot of time together during Obama's Inauguration. He promised me that he when he became Governor, he was going to cut thru all the BS and find absolute proof that "Barry" was born in Hawaii. Well, I spoke to him YESTERDAY and Abercrombie told me "He searched everywhere using his powers as governor, and... There is NO Barack Obama Birth Certificate in Hawaii ... absolutely no proof at all that Obama was born in Hawaii".

The real inflation rate.

Finally Maine Has A Governor with correct priorities

Governor LaPage puts business first and special interest hacks last. It is about time, we in Maine have a man in office willing to do what is right instead of cow tow to the left and every whinning cry baby welfare sucking special interest group.

From our friend Tony Perkins: Big spending cuts in Washington

right"" If federal agencies don't get serious about spending cuts, they're liable to become one! Under Rep. Kevin Brady's (R-Texas) new bill, "Cut Unsustainable and Top-heavy Spending" Act (or CUTS), the House is threatening to take a big bite out of Washington 's allowance. Brady's proposal was added to the hopper last week in hopes of skimming more than $153 billion of federal fat off the books. CUTS, which Congressman Brady calls a "down payment" on getting our House in order, should make fans out of plenty of conservatives. Among other things, the bill would de-fund two of the Left's mouthpieces: National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), both of which fall under the soon-to-be-obsolete Corporation for Public Broadcasting. And remember Kevin Jennings, the President's "safe school czar," who said that promoting homosexuality "is our mission from this day forward"? Taxpayers could wave him--and his dangerous agenda--goodbye. Under CUTS, the Office of Safe & Drug-Free Schools would become a thing of the past, along with other useless education initiatives.

The bill, which borrows some ideas from the President's deficit reduction commission, asks for 15% in cutbacks for the White House and Congress and a 10% reduction in the size of the federal workforce. "There's not a business is America that's survived this recession without right-sizing its workforce, without having to become more productive with fewer workers," Rep. Brady said, "The federal government can't be the exception." For every three people who retire or leave Washington, this bill would replace them with two. The employees that stay can expect a three-year pay freeze, along with members of Congress and civilians at the Defense Department. And if you're looking for a bargain on real estate, Rep. Brady says the government may be looking to unload some by selling off "excess federal property."

We will know Gov. LaPage and the Republicans have done their job when we have to start handing this out to people coming into Maine from states south of Maine and north of the Mason Dixon Line and from that socialist paradise north of us.

Berg in CORINNA, Maine raided by the feds. right"" CORINNA, Maine — Agents from several law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations Unit are at Berg Sportswear on Route 7 in Corinna.

Agent Mike Lanno from the Homeland Security Investigations Unit on Thursday declined to provide information about why agents were at the store, a screen-printing business located in a former chicken barn about three miles north of Corinna village. Agents could be seen carrying stacks of empty collapsed boxes into the store, the website for which says “offers a great selection of novelty and politically incorrect t-shirts including our ever-popular line of Howie Carr t-shirts.”

A blue moving box truck from Collins Bros. movers from New York was backed up to the front door of the business. The company’s website says it employs about 20 people. Officers from the Maine State Police and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency are also on the scene.

Debit card nightmare: Business owner's account 'wiped out' 1/13/11 10:59 am Updated: 1/13/11 11:00 am By Daniel Hartill Sun Journal(MCT) BETHEL, Maine — Maryann Jordan thought her debit card was safe. Then, two days after Christmas, she received a call from her bank. "They told me my account was wiped out," Jordan said. Someone had used her MasterCard debit card to spend just over $4,700 in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai and it triggered a red flag with Northeast Bank.

Her account showed four transactions, including a $2,469 charge at the Dubai airport. The thief emptied her account of more than $3,000 and ran up her overdraft limit of $1,500. Jordan still thought she was OK. After all, card companies promise that customers' money is safe and will be replaced if stolen. Then, a bank employee highlighted the fine print of her account. Because the account was tied to her business, the Toe Tappin' Jazz Dance Studio in Bethel, the bank didn't have to refund all of her money.

It's there on MasterCard's website: Protection does not apply if the card was issued for "commercial, business or agricultural purposes." "Everybody ought to know this," Jordan said. "I did not realize that a personal account was safer than a business account." Her bank, Northeast Bank, did return some of the money, agreeing to erase the overdraft limit and fees, she said. But her $3,000 is gone.

A spokesman for Northeast Bank declined to comment on the case, saying "the privacy of our customers is of paramount importance." Jordan's problem is unusual but not rare, said Lloyd LaFountain III, the bank superintendent for the Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions. Accounts like hers, pitched by MasterCard as "faster than checks, safer than cash," have limitations, he said. Often, such as with Visa's "zero liability" protection, people have five days to report a problem.

LaFountain counseled Jordan to call his office. Sometimes, arrangements can be made with banks to return the money. Meanwhile, Jordan has reported the theft to the FBI, the state police and at least one U.S. Senate office. The money was intended to be her studio rent for the next three months, she said. It will be missed. "We basically make ends meet throughout the year," she said. "We're going to have to struggle." It's not her only worry. If someone has her debit card number, perhaps other details of her identity have been seized, she said. She imagines someone traveling the Middle East under her name, she said. "I still don't know if my identity has been stolen," she said.

Sura 9:5 says, "Slay the idolaters wherever you find them

The speaker in the above video is a vet who understands the enemy we face

Obama this week once again called Islam "a great religion" which has been "distorted" by a small number of "extremists" to justify committing acts of violence against the West. But the Qur'an (or Koran) itself, the holy book of Islam, contains over 100 verses calling for violence against Christians and Jews. To give just one example, Sura 9:5 says, "Slay the idolaters wherever you find them."

During a panel discussion sponsored by the Hudson Institute last January, retired Army Lt. Colonel Allen West, who did combat duty in Iraq, responded to a Marine who asked the question, how do you answer people who say that terrorists are following a "warped" version of Islam? The panel consisted of a number of former military personnel, who fumbled around trying to answer the question. Col. West finally stepped forward answered the question directly and truthfully. Listen to the words of a former military man who understands the nature of the enemy we face:

Notice again Col. West's straightforward assessment: "This is not a perversion. They are doing exactly what this book (i.e., the Qur'an) says."

Col. West, by the way, was elected last week to Congress, to represent Florida's 22nd congressional district. He will be the first African-American Republican congressman to represent Florida since 1870.

If you would like to add your signature to our "thank you" letter to Col. West for speaking frankly about the nature of the enemy we face, you can do so here. Don't forget to give a special "thank you" on this Veteran's Day to every member of the military you encounter.

If you'd like to see the full, unedited video of the exchange, which includes the Marine's question and shows the discomfort felt by every other member of this panel in responding to the question, click here.

Gov. Paul LePage repeals the Baldacci protection of illegal aliens

AUGUSTA — In one of his first official acts, Gov. Paul LePage is issuing an order allowing officials in state agencies to question people with whom they come into contact about their immigration status, infuriating civil libertarians. A LePage spokesman says the governor wants to send the message that with scarce state resources, he's putting Mainers first.

See that word pestilence? It is, in the Greek loimos, it is pronounced loy'-mos and it means: of uncertain affinity; a plague (literally, the disease, or figuratively, a pest):--pestilence(-t). It is not restricted to humans, such as aids. It can be amongst any living species or I believe even vegetation.:

Bridgton, Maine, man facing NH sex assault charges found permanently rehabilitated

BRENTWOOD – A Bridgton, Maine, man who was facing trial Monday on charges of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Hampstead girl was found dead at his home on Monday. Lawyers were about to pick a jury for the trial when they were notified by authorities that Roger Goode, 65, was found dead inside his home, Assistant County Attorney Jacqueline Docko said on Monday.

left"" Docko said she could not elaborate on the cause of death, which is being investigated by the Bridgton Police Department. Hampstead police said they were also notified about the death on Monday morning. Local prosecutors and police are awaiting word from Maine investigators about whether the death was a suicide, police said.

"Anytime a life is lost it's tragic," Hampstead police Lt. John Frazier said. "If (his death) is by his own hand then it deprives us the opportunity to put on our case." Hampstead had four officers, including Frazier, headed to Rockingham County Superior Court on Monday to testify. "The thing that bothers me is that we have a detective, Robert Kelley, who put in a tremendous amount of work on this case," Frazier said. "Jacqueline Docko from the county attorney's office did as well. We were ready to go." Bridgton's interim police chief, Peter Madura, did not return a phone call seeking comment.

The victim and her family were notified about Goode's death on Monday morning, Docko said. Goode was indicted by a grand jury in May on five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, four counts of felonious sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was potentially facing decades in prison if he was convicted on all charges. Last month, Goode lost a bid to have major evidence in his case thrown out. Judge Tina Nadeau ruled that Hampstead police properly searched Goode's vehicle following his Jan. 27 arrest at a shopping plaza parking lot in East Hampstead .

Police said they recovered colored condoms and underwear from Goode's truck during the search and seized them as evidence. Those items were also described in text messages allegedly exchanged between Goode and a police detective posing as the girl. Goode allegedly assaulted the girl several times in September 2009. The girl's mother went to police Jan. 22 after seeing several text messages on her daughter's cell phone believed to be from Goode.

More text messages came in on the phone allegedly from Goode while the mother and her daughter were speaking to police. The victim's mother handed the phone over to police, after she learned that Goode was text messaging the girl, Detective Robert Kelley testified in November. Goode was telling the girl to downplay the extent of their alleged physical activity, according to Kelley. "(He texted her), 'Remember, no sex, just kissing,'" Kelley testified. "Mr. Goode was aware that information might have gotten out."

Kelley testified that he began communicating with Goode, making him believe he was still speaking with the girl, which led to the meeting that culminated in his Jan. 27 arrest. Defense lawyer Richard Samdperil argued at the time that police had no proof it was Goode who was actually sending the messages. He also argued that the search of the truck was illegal because police never sought a search warrant. Nadeau agreed with prosecutors that police did not need one because they were removing the vehicle from the premises, and it is department policy to search such vehicles before moving them.

Editors note: Folks Hebrew 9:27 teaches us that when a person dies God will jduge that person right then and there. That court cannot be corrupted, the evidence entered cannot and willnot be corrupted. God knows the truth, not only about Goode but about all of us. Are yu ready to meet Him?

Lesbian activist Chai Feldblum confirmed for on EEOC: US Senate's lame-duck gift to the homosexual movement

Cave-in by conservatives (and Scott Brown) gives huge victory to homosexual movement in America

POSTED: Dec 31, 2010

Last week the homosexual movement got another big victory thanks to the US Senate Republicans (including Scott Brown) caving in. By unanimous consent in the Senate, Chai Feldblum, a lesbian law professor and the primary author of the pro-homosexual Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), was finally confirmed as a member of the powerful Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which wields enormous power over the nation's employers.

Republicans cave after year-long lobby campaign

Feldblum's hearing was held in November, 2009. But when the Senate's confirmation vote stalled, Obama put her on the EEOC temporarily via a "recess appointment." However, Republicans continued to block her confirmation using a rule that allows just one Senator to hold up a vote.

But in the end it was similar to the repeal of DADT -- a sophisticated year-long behind-the-scenes lobbying effort by the homosexual lobby. And as time ran out on the lame-duck session, the homosexual lobby accelerated their pressure, even getting organizations such as the US Chamber of Commerce to send letters to the Senate leadership urging her confirmation. See report in homosexual news service describing lobby effort results.

Finally last week, with momentum following their DADT victory, the homosexual lobby persuaded all the Senate Republicans to fall into line and use the sleazy lame-duck session to confirm Feldblum by unanimous consent. They knew that once the lame-duck session ended at the end of this week their chances with the newly elected Republican Senators would be severely diminished. It's a disgusting way to conduct the nation's affairs.

A radical homosexual activist now directing the nation's employers

Feldblum's pro-homosexual radicalism goes back years. Her main passion -- which her position on the EEOC will accelerate -- will be to use the provisions laid out in the EDNA bill to force the acceptance of homosexuality into businesses and other institutions (including religious organizations) across America.

Feldblum's dangerous potential was recognized early on in pro-family circles. The Traditional Values Coalition, which lobbied against her, said that she would "use her power to strip nearly all First Amendment rights of freedom of expression/free exercise of religion from businesses." Family Research Council said she "openly admitted to supporting polygamy." Concerned Women for America said she "represents one of the most serious threats to religious freedom we have seen in a long time."

Traditional Values Coalition's posting on Feldblum goes on to say:

At Georgetown Law School, Feldblum runs the Federal Legislation Clinic. Her goal is to teach young law students to be "legislative lawyers" - to use the law for political agendas - including for her main focus overturning laws in support of LGBT goals. She is creating an army of far left lawyers who will wage war against traditional values.

Feldblum has created the term "identity liberty" that conflicts with "belief liberty." According to Feldblum, a person's sexual identity "rights" must routinely trump "belief liberty" which is religious liberty guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution.

In addition, Feldblum rejects the right of the Boy Scouts to set their own moral standards for membership.

Feldblum believes that the Christian owner of a business loses his religious liberty when he engages in commerce.

In short, Feldblum has stated: "We want to change the American workplace and revolutionize social norms." Instead of being an unbiased referee on the EEOC, she would be a radical activist who would use the force of government to implement aggressive and intrusive employment non-discrimination laws to benefit the LGBT political agenda . . .

See TVC's full write-up here

The fact that all the Republicans all caved in on this is unforgivable. Chai Feldblum should not be in any position of power at all, much less the EEOC. As with the repeal of DADT, the oppression against people with traditional values that she will bring can only be imagined at this point. If you live in Massachusetts, this is just one more reason that Scott Brown needs to be thrown out in 2012.

Breaking News: 10AM 12/20/2010

Once again the anti-CHRISTmas crowd have reared their ugly hate filled heads. But there is one man, Matthew Brannon from Bowdoin, who is ready willing, able and currently fighting. You can call Matt at 207-504-6207 to join the fight.
Paul J. Mattson, Harrison, Maine for MaineTV.net

The Whole Story about CHRISTmas being stolen from our kids.

Christmas has been stolen from our schools for a some time now, but I reached the boiling point when my son brought home a note from school this November, 2010. It announced the ‘Winter General Music Festival’ and its theme of West African chants.

After picking myself up off the floor, I started making phone calls; the principle, school board members, even the school superintendent. All but one of the administrators I talked to were in favor of the policy and vigorously defended it. The one exception would only express agreement with me after making sure his office door was closed and no one could hear him. Political correctness run amok, anyone?

A little Internet research into case law revealed right away that the federal courts have thoroughly addressed the issue of the secular verses religious nature of Christmas and how both may be demonstrated in public schools.
Here’s a link with lots of case-law.

After the research and phone calls, I wrote a letter on 3 December to the Superintendent making all these points. At the 7 December ‘Winter General Music Concert’, with no notice and with no practice by the kids, the Christmas song ‘Jingle Bells’ was added to the song list. It was such a last minute addition it never made it into the printed program. The kids had spent weeks practicing their African chants.

The students spent not one minute practicing Jingle Bells because it was added at the last minute to shut me up.

The Superintendent answered my letter with a letter of his own on 7 December. He states that ‘the school board spent a year and a half developing the Holiday Policy’ and they ‘talked to a lot of people about it’. That’s an explanation? It’s good because we tried hard? Who did they talk to?

I bet they didn’t talk to my father or grandfathers, who between them fought in 4 wars; or the lobstermen in Harpswell or the contractors in Bowdoin. All proud to be Americans and sick to death of what’s happening in our country.

I want my children to grow up with the same sort of Christmas memories I have.

I’ve proposed a change to the holiday policy(To see the changes, click here), that will require District schools to celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday, and to use that celebration to teach the value of our traditions as a means both to reinforce our own cultural values and to help foreigners assimilate into our society.

The bottom line is that it is legal to display Christmas decorations, sing Christmas carols, give gifts and in all ways celebrate Christmas as we have for most of our history.

The only reason we don’t in MSAD 75 is because the administrators of MSAD 75 don’t want us to.

Please help me change that. Call a district administrator and other contact info and tell those grinches we want Christmas back!

If you are a Born Again Christian, I am going to make a suggestion to you. Avoid airports.

Think for a moment, what does the terrorist want to do? Doesn't he, she, it whatever want to kill, maim and cause disruptions to our society? Look at the pictures of airport terminals online or on TV, are they not full of tens of thousands of unarmed men, women and children? Are they not full of people pulling large suitcases on wheels filled with God only knows what?

My dear brothers and sisters, think about how vulnerable all those unarmed passengers are standing in lines with their shoes in their hands waiting to go thru a naked scanner or to be groped by a stranger. Now imagine the results to you, your wife and your kids if only one of those in the line behind you is towing a suitcase full of explosives, ball bearings, broken glass and the such.

Thank You and God bless,

Deroy Murdock

With just 13 days until the November 2 elections, pro-market, small-government candidates, activists, and concerned citizens should study and then disseminate three charts that perfectly encapsulate the status quo that, if all goes well, the midterm vote will capsize.

The first of these looks as intricate as an integrated circuit. Titled “Your New Health Care System,” this schematic shows how Obamacare’s hundreds of moving parts will fit together and whirl — or not, as rising health costs at Boeing, McDonald’s, and the United Federation of Teachers (to name a few affected organizations) already reveal.

Staff members at the Congressional Joint Economic Committee “spent four months, night and day, and weekends” assembling this amazing graphic, Rep. Kevin Brady (R., Texas) tells me by phone. “They vetted it based on all 2,801 pages of the Obamacare legislation. They captured this new law’s stunningly complexity.”

Well, almost.

Literally scores of icons and symbols show how the president, the secretary of health and human services, the IRS, and other existing federal actors and agencies interact with Obamacare’s new entities including, among many others, the Elder Justice Coordinating Council, the Medicare Prescription Drug and MA-PD Complaint System, and the National Oral Health Public Education Campaign.

Even worse, the JEC’s diligent personnel could not fit all of this new law’s boards, commissions, mandates, and other elements onto this chart. So, by way of shorthand, they created “bundles of bureaucracy.” Beyond those functions delineated in the chart, these seven collective symbols respectively represent clusters of four loan repayment and forgiveness programs, four other new regulatory programs, 17 insurance mandates, 19 special-interest provisions, 22 other new bureaucracies, 26 other new demonstration and pilot programs, and 59 other new grant programs. These 151 additional items within Obamacare do not appear individually on this diagram. As Representative Brady explains, “If we included all of these units, this chart would be three times larger.”

Anyone who believes the JEC concocted this out of thin air should think again. Beneath each new program or agency, policy analysts cited the section in the Obamacare law that empowers that particular intervention in the American people’s medical decisions. The lines that connect programs to mandates indicate the pertinent passages of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that bind them together.

The JEC’s 25-megabyte creation is difficult to transmit via e-mail. However, a convenient link opens a PDF that allows readers to zoom in and explore this chart in amazing and shocking detail.

Even those who believe that government actively should heal the American people must wonder if that goal really required something this staggeringly convoluted.

As it is, the JEC’s chart is both an incredibly impressive piece of graphic design and a jaw-dropping glimpse of the health-care Hell that awaits the American people, unless they elect a new Congress to shutter this entire fiasco before it renders this republic irretrievably ill.

The second chart appeared in the New York Post on September 6 and is based on a Heritage Foundation analysis of figures from the U.S. Labor Department, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Haver Analytics. Between December 2007, when the Great Recession began, and last July, the private sector lost 7,837,000 jobs (down 6.8 percent). Local-government employment dropped 128,000 positions (minus 0.9 percent), while state governments shed 6,000 positions (less 0.1 percent). Meanwhile, Washington, D.C., boomed. Federal employment zoomed by 198,100 slots as Uncle Sam’s workforce expanded by 10 percent.

This graph’s whiff of Marie Antoinette should boil every patriot’s blood. While the American people live increasingly ascetic lives, and even city halls and statehouses have displayed some restraint, Washington, D.C., increasingly resembles Versailles — an out-of-touch, extravagant, and callous place that fuels little beyond the nation’s disgust, fury, and organized rebellion. As the party rages within the Beltway, federal revelers scream, “Let them pay taxes!”

Finally, USA Today on August 10 published this front-page chart based on Bureau of Economic Analysis data. It shows that in 2009, the average private-sector employee saw compensation of $61,051 ($50,462 in wages and $10,589 in benefits). Among state- and local-government workers, the relevant figure was $69,913 ($53,056 in wages and $16,857 in benefits). For federal-civilian employees, the picture was far prettier: Compensation stood at $123,049 ($81,258 in wages and $41,791 in benefits).

These nauseating numbers show federal employees earning 201 percent of the average private worker’s compensation. Federal benefits equal 395 percent of private-sector benefits.

This bloat is bipartisan. While President Obama’s spending spree has exacerbated the inequality of federal vs. private compensation, this problem reaches into the irresponsible Bush-Rove years. Between 2000 and 2009, private salaries and benefits grew by 8.8 percent after inflation. Among federal civilians, however, salaries and benefits exploded by 36.9 percent.

Liberal pundits who wonder why so many Americans are so angry today should examine these graphs, which should answer that question.

Flagging in Maine, the single most dangerous, under paid, least respected job in road work, yet, when it comes to the safety of the traveling public, DOT Inspectors, and the crews doing the work the most important.

Starting this coming Monday, come meet the men and women who risk their lives to keep you safe. Hear them talk about the dangers, the perils, the joys and tribulations. Read as they discuss how some project managers and DOT inspectors go out of their way to help keep things safe, while others seem intent on making the job as unsafe as possible, and about one project engineer who seems absolutely determined to cause a serious accident just to prove he is boss.

In this, the most serious, most comprehensive, the most authoritive, the most in-depth study ever done on flagging in Maine will focus on all aspects of flagging from the eyes of the flagger on the road, a man who trains, a man who certifies, hire and fires and the owner of one of the largest, if not the largest, flagging company in Maine. It will cover the problems faced by DOT inspectors who want to do a good job but are hampered. All starting this coming Monday.

You will read accounts of how a projet manager and a DOT inspector saved a flagger from almost certain injury. You will also read about the other extreme, the project manager whose ego and micro management is almost certain to cause a serious accident. All starting this coming Monday. Flash, MaineTV.net has just learned that Maine congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D) billionaire fiance's company received a $200 million federal bailout. Your tax dollars gave the boyfriend of a Congresswoman Pingree, a billionaire, two million US Tax Dollars out of your money taken by the US Internal Revenue people and put into his pocket by the US Congress of which Chellie Pingree is a member. Yet, our sources inside the PPH tell us that the Portland Press Herald is about to endorse Pingree for re-election.

Flash, the mortgage foreclosure scandal started right here in Denmark, Maine.

DENMARK, Me. — The house that set off the national furor over faulty foreclosures is blue-gray and weathered. The porch is piled with furniture and knickknacks awaiting the next yard sale. In the driveway is a busted pickup truck. No one who lives there is going anywhere anytime soon.

Nicolle Bradbury bought this house seven years ago for $75,000, a major step up from the trailer she had been living in with her family. But she lost her job and the $474 monthly mortgage payment became difficult, then impossible. It should have been a routine foreclosure, with Mrs. Bradbury joining the anonymous millions quietly dispossessed since the recession began. But she was savvy enough to contact a nonprofit group, Pine Tree Legal Assistance, where for once in her 38 years, she caught a break.

Her file was pulled, more or less at random, by Thomas A. Cox, a retired lawyer who volunteers at Pine Tree. He happened to know something about foreclosures because when he worked for a bank he did them all the time. Twenty years later, he had switched sides and, he says, was trying to make amends.

Suddenly, there is a frenzy over foreclosures. Every attorney general in the country is participating in an investigation into the flawed paperwork and questionable methods behind many of them. A Senate hearing is scheduled, and federal inquiries have begun. The housing market, which runs on foreclosure sales, is in turmoil. Bank stocks fell on Thursday as analysts tried to gauge the impact on lenders' bottom lines.

All of this is largely because Mr. Cox realized almost immediately that Mrs. Bradbury's foreclosure file did not look right. The documents from the lender, GMAC Mortgage, were approved by an employee whose title was "limited signing officer," an indication to the lawyer that his knowledge of the case was effectively nonexistent.

Mr. Cox eventually won the right to depose the employee, who casually acknowledged that he had prepared 400 foreclosures a day for GMAC and that contrary to his sworn statements, they had not been reviewed by him or anyone else.

GMAC, the country's fourth-largest mortgage lender, called this omission a technicality but was forced last month to halt foreclosures in the 23 states, including Maine, where they must be approved by a court. Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and other lenders that used robo-signers — the term caught on instantly — have enacted their own freezes.

The tragedy of foreclosure is that some homeowners may be able to stay where they are if their lenders are more interested in modification than eviction. Without a job, Mrs. Bradbury is not one of them. Her family, including her 14-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son, lives on welfare and food stamps.

"A lot of people say we just want a free ride," Mrs. Bradbury said. "That's not it. I've worked since I was 14. I'm not lazy. I'm just trying to keep us together. If we lost the house, my family would have to break up."

It has been two years since she last paid the mortgage, which surprises even her lawyers.

"Had GMAC followed the legal requirements, she would have lost her home a long time ago," acknowledged Geoffrey S. Lewis, another lawyer handling her case.

This is what happens when the govt runs a bank, like everything they touch, it turns to junk.

Our Poll Results

As many of you know, we have been making phone calls to the homes of registered voters. If we get an answer we ask a series of questions.

"Hi, my name is ....... And I am calling from and for MaineTV.net are you planning on voting this coming November?"

If they say yes, we then ask, "would you like to take part in a short poll?"

If they say yes we then ask"Who will you vote for, for Governor?" Who will you be voting for, for Congress?"

"Will you be voting ‘yes' or ‘no' on the casino issue?"

That's it, that's all we ask. Final results, we are now at the 1000 mark.

Our next big project will be a look at the economy thru a group of over looked highly important dedicated men and women, the people who keep you safe on the highways and bi ways of Maine during construction season, FLAGGERS.

Pastor Mike Heath, endorses Paul Lapage for Governor

Nearly all my Christian republican acquaintances are planning to vote for Mr. LePage. He won them over in the primary by allowing toward the end of that campaign that he is pro life. He opposes same sex marriage.

In a published interview with Maine Right to Life the father of five makes it abundantly clear that he thinks abortion is wrong. He says his wife is the most pro life person he knows.

I like his campaign because of what his opponents are saying. They are running an attack advertisement highlighting his sensible view on science and religion in the classroom, at least with respect to origins. They thought they were hurting him. That advertisement might prove to be the most honest and helpful thirty seconds of the campaign.

Here's my biggest problem with politics in general. It is boring and confusing.

Honesty about religion would spice things up, and make things clear. We are all, however, conditioned not to connect religion with politics. This makes no sense for the Christian who is supposed to apply his faith to everything -- hence the confusion.

Religion is supreme in any society. Our society has elevated athiesm, or at least agnosticism, to the level of state-enforced religion. We are "free" to discuss all things "gay" (clearly a doctrine of godlessness) in public, but nothing truly Christian -- unless it is politically correct (helping poor people and being compassionate toward those less fortunate).

Athiesm was never more visible than at the public hearing that Paul LePage attended earlier this year. An obscure tribunal called the Maine Human Rights Commission was doing what obscure powerful tribunals do -- hiding. In their darkened corner they were creating rules to force little boys into the bathrooms of little girls.

Did you know that being transgendered is the way life should be? Maine was officially transgendered in 2005. It became the law five years ago when Christians decided to yawn instead of fight during the fourth statewide campaign over special rights for the sexually deviant.

If Christians were honest and forthright Maine wouldn't be a place where it is safer for a boy to wear a dress to school than it is for him to carry his Bible. Are the Ten Commandments really that bad? If we are to believe gubernatorial hopeful, and not-so-proud Southern Baptist Elizabeth Mitchell, heaven surely frowns on discussions about "creationism" in school.

I'm going to vote. I want Paul LePage to have his chance at cleaning up the mess in Augusta.

I don't, however, think the crooked will be made straight until we officially acknowledge Jesus Christ. Our strength, productivity and unity as a state is less dependent on knowing that we are "One Nation Under God" than it is on acknowledging that Jesus Christ is Lord.

I was interested to learn this summer from a CBN interview that England is legally Christian. They acknowledge Jesus Christ in their governing documents.

If you believe that lower taxes and smaller government are the solution you'll find this video interesting. It is a twenty minute unedited interview with Paul LePage in which he appears sincere and confident. He is feisty and plain spoken. His eyes sparkle when he defends what is most precious to him -- his wife and family. I like that.

CAMDEN TO HOST PINGREE/ BARNEY FRANK ECONOMIC SUMMIT

by Lance Dutson

Maine welcomes co-sponsor of the subprime crash, Barney Frank

CAMDEN – Maine Democrat Congresswoman Chellie Pingree will share the spotlight Monday with Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank, acknowledged by many as one of the key players in the lead-up to the recent financial collapse in America.

Congressman Frank spent years pushing for risky lending practices, using the power of his position as Chairman of the Financial Services Committee to bully financial institutions into lending to unqualified borrowers. Warned repeatedly that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were facing collapse, Frank held his ground until it collapsed beneath him.

"Maine families in the 1st Congressional District have suffered tremendously because of Rep. Frank," said Maine GOP Chair Charlie Webster. "Unless Chellie Pingree is taking Barney Frank on a tour of the devastation he caused, I think her fundraising with him in a Bayview Street mansion in Camden shows an amazing lack of understanding, of compassion, toward the majority of the people she's supposed to represent," said Webster.

Rep. Frank will be guest of honor at a fundraiser for Rep. Pingree, scheduled for 5:00pm on Monday at a 16,000 square foot mansion on tony BayView Street in Camden. Pingree’s close ties with hedge fund company Paloma Partners, the recipient of hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars through AIG’s government bailout, paints a picture of the event as a gathering of economic rogues.

“Chellie Pingree literally lives off the largess of the hedge fund industry,” continued Webster. “Her association with Donald Sussman and Paloma Partners is so unsettling. Let’s look at it through a regular Mainer’s eyes: AIG gets a huge Wall Street bailout. $200 million of that bailout money works its way to Sussman’s Paloma Partners. Then Paloma Partners turns around and funnels hundreds of thousands of dollars to Chellie Pingree’s campaigns. This doesn’t look good from any vantage point.”

Sussman’s Paloma Partners employees and associates have donated over $130,000 to Pingree’s re-election campaign, and donated over $100,000 to her campaign in 2008. Sussman has also donated millions to liberal groups and PACs in Maine, including the Maine Democratic State Committee.

“Chellie Pingree has a lot to answer for,” concluded Webster. “Rubbing elbows with the likes of Barney Frank and Wall Street robber barons like Donald Sussman, at a time when Mainers are hurting, sends the clear signal that she couldn’t care less about the working people of Maine. “

Who Owns the US Dollar
Stanislav Mishin

At first glance, this would seem like a rather silly, stupid and pointless question. Why, the average person would answer, the American people own it. Or rather, if one had to get more technical, the American government, which is in turn, being a Republic, owned by the people, one in the same.

But, as most such simple seeming things in life, the truth is neither simple or straight forward and the answer is neither silly, stupid or pointless, but indeed is critical to the well being of nations and hundreds of millions if not billions of people.

For the truth of it, neither the people of America nor the government of America owns the US dollar. How’s that, you say? Well, if one was to really dive just a bit deeper, before hitting the rocks just under the US greenback pond, one would quickly discover that the actual US dollar has not existed since 1913, where it was effectively killed. What is now called the US dollar is actually a Federal Reserve Note, says it right at the top of each bill. Why does that matter? Read on.

First of all, a US dollar, as something before 1913, was an instrument of wealth. That piece of paper, or just as common a gold or silver coin, had actual worth, anywhere in the world. It was worth its weight in gold, be it actual gold or paper. A Reserve Note, on the other hand, is a debt instrument, which not only is not wealth but is the opposite of wealth. Its very existence is a sucking sound on wealth, wealth being transferred, in this case not to the poor masses (as defined by defunct and unworking Marxism) but to the top 1% (equally defunct and unworking, but its only now starting to go that way).

How is that you say? Why quite simple, but for that answer, again, we must follow the rabbit down the rabbit hole.

The Federal Reserve, unbeknownst to many outside the US and almost everyone in the US, is NOT a Federal, that is, government entity. It is about as governmental as Federal Express. In truth, it is a wholly private, untraded, and thus unsupervised, banking corporation, with a secret cabal of owners. One can assess some of those probable owners by those corporations/banks who were bailed out, while others were allowed to die.

Effectively, this private banking concern, the only one of its kind in the world, has the exclusive right to make the US dollar, or rather the Federal Reserve Notes (debt) called the US dollar, the one and only legal tender of America. Now, when the US government wants or needs money, it can not simply “have” money. Put aside the notions about not starting the printing presses and so on, the simple fact is, not only can the US government NOT coin currency, it can not just have it either. Remember, these are Reserve (debt) Notes.

So, when the US government wants money, the Treasury Department prints bonds (promissory notes aka debt obligations) and “sells” these to the Federal Reserve (private banking concern), which than “gives” the US government Federal Reserve Notes (tender). Thus the money the US government and thus in turn, the US people and all peoples and nations in the world who hold dollars (and why do you think they push these on the world so much?) are debt instruments owed to the Federal Reserve, by the holders. Thus, sooner or later you must return them, plus a percentage. Of course, to the Federal Reserve, the percentage is better.

But, let us take this one step further, and here is the really scary part. To note, no one’s logic ever seems to go this far, so for many, this may be your final Eureka moment, when you figure out just how screwed and owned you really are.

If the only legal tender is the Federal Reserve Note and it must be paid back at its face value plus percent, again, in Federal Reserve Notes, well how do you do it? Let me explain. If the Fed offers you (like a crack dealer) $100 million Federal Reserve Notes and you must pay it back, sooner or later with a 2% add on, thus, let us say, in 1 year, you will owe and must pay $102 million Federal Reserve Notes, well, how do you do it? Simply put, you only have $100 million, where do you get the other $2 million Federal Reserve Notes? You can not print them, you can not mint them, well, you have no choice but to ask the Federal Reserve to print them. Thus you get your $2 million more to pay back the debt, but that itself has a 2% attachment, that again, you must ask the Fed to print and at a percentage and so on into perpetuity….well not really, because in a rather short order, the Fed and its owners will own everything.

Rarely has so brilliant and patient a ponzy scheme been dreamed up than this.

And by exporting it overseas, they are sucking in the rest of the world’s finance, into their ever greedy, chubby and purely evil little hands.

So, leaders of the world, why the bloody Hell, are you giving away the future of your peoples and nations to this tiny group of American parasites, who have already bleed the US dead dry, where the top 1% holds over 60% of that nation’s raw wealth?

Cut them off and starve the beast.

YOUR money at work folks.
Yup, this is what China is doing with your money.

Chinese land grab as Beijing's billions buy up resources
By Sarah Arnott

China is pouring another $7bn (£4.4bn) into Brazil's oil industry, reigniting fears of a global "land grab" of natural resources.

State-owned Sinopec clinched the deal with Spain's Repsol yesterday to buy 40 per cent of its Brazilian business, giving China's largest oil company access to Repsol Brasil's estimated reserves of 1.2 billion barrels of oil and gas. The whopping price tag for Repsol Brasil – which values the company at nearly twice previous estimates – is a sign of China's willingness to pay whatever it takes to lock in its future energy supplies and avoid social unrest. It will give the company enough cash to develop all its current oil projects, including two fields in the Santos Basin.

The Repsol deal is not China's first in Brazil. In February last year, Sinopec stumped up a $10bn loan to Petrobras, the state-owned oil company, in return for guaranteed supplies of 10,000 barrels of oil every day for the next 10 years.

It also follows a slew of similar deals across the world. While much of the developed world is baulking at its debts in the aftermath of the financial crisis, China has continued a global spending spree of unprecedented proportions, snapping up everything from oil and gas reserves to mining concessions to agricultural land, with vast reserves of US dollars.

This year alone, Chinese companies have laid out billions of dollars buying up stakes in Canada's oil sands, a Guinean iron ore mine, oil fields in Angola and Uganda, an Argentinian oil company and a major Australian coal-bed methane gas company.

"China is rich in people but short of resources, and it wants to have stable supplies of its own rather than having to buy on the open market," Jonathan Fenby, China expert and director of research group Trusted Resources, said.

But it is a strategy causing anxiety elsewhere in the world. Rumours in recent weeks that China's Sinochem may make a bid for Canada's Potash Corporation raised fears that the Middle Kingdom would corner the global market for fertiliser.

Similarly, when BP's share price plummeted after Barack Obama's criticisms in the wake of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, there was concern that the company would be driven into the hands of the Chinese.

More explicitly still, when the aluminium giant Chinalco was trying to buy Anglo-Australian Rio Tinto last year, television ads protesting against the scheme from no less than the Senate opposition leader bellowed "Keep Australia Australian".

"Chinese acquisitions are increasingly on the political radar," said Robin Geffen, the chief executive of Neptune Investment Management, which runs a leading China investment fund. "The pinch points come when people feel that supplies affecting national security could be threatened by China buying them all up."

Contrary to the conspiracy theories, China is not looking for world domination. It has seen economic growth averaging a massive 10 per cent for the best part of three decades, and although it is expected to drop into the high single-digits in the coming years – in response to a dip in export demand – the natural resources required to support even slightly moderated growth are an overwhelming priority.

China is already the second-largest oil consumer in the world and far outstrips its domestic supplies. Neptune estimates that it will need to buy two companies the size of BP each year for the next 12 years to meet its growing domestic energy demand. Demand for electricity alone is growing each year equivalent to Britain's entire output.

"These are massive, massive numbers," Mr Geffen said. "The deal with Repsol today, and all the others we have seen in recent years, are wholly strategic, to nail down what they estimate future demand will be."

But, despite the concerns that China is cornering the market and will push up prices, the developed world also has a vested interest in China pursuing a successful strategy.

Notwithstanding qualms about a change in the global balance of power, China's continued economic growth has been vital to hauling the world out of recession – and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. The threat from political instability if Chinese growth stalls has similarly global implications. "The whole world needs China to have these resources to help pull us out of recession and avoid local unrest," said Ian Sperling-Tyler, a partner and oil and gas expert at the consultancy Deloitte.

But concerns remain about China's involvement in politically difficult countries, particularly in Africa. China is not squeamish about the politics of its business partners. It follows a simple formula, offering premium prices and massive infrastructure investments in return for long-term concessions for key resources. There are several well-documented deals on the continent – including a recent $2.5bn tie-up with Britain's Tullow Oil in Uganda and off-shore production in Angola and Nigeria. And the positive impact is evident in spanking new infrastructure including hospitals, ports, and road and rail links being built with the influx of Chinese money.

But China is also involved in some of Africa's more controversial countries. It came in for widespread criticism in 2008 for arms sales to war-torn Sudan, a major trade partner, and its alleged refusal to help resolve the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. It has also been accused of paying multimillion-dollar backhanders in return for African leaders repudiating Taiwan at the UN, although nothing has ever been proved. And because the majority of the deals are done on a government-to-government basis, there is no way to be clear on the extent of the relationships.

Do you know how Isreal got back it's land? They bought it from Arabs who had taken it over. They bought it folks, now with Isreal that was fine, for it was theirs in the first place, God gave it to them. But, China is buying up land with our money and much of that land is right here in the good ole US of A.

Kiss your gas goodbye!
by Judson Phillips, Tea Party

The Obama regime has fired another shot in their war against Americans. Ken Salazar, the Interior Secretary, has decreed that there will be no more off shore drilling for oil until he is "comfortable" with the risk.

Translation, just in case you missed it, 'As long as I am in this office, there will be no drilling.'

There should be outrage over this idiocy, but other than in the conservative media, you aren't seeing much about this. If there were coverage, we would probably all be in Washington, standing in front of the Interior Department with signs and pitchforks.

There are a lot of questions we should be asking. Why are Americans not allowed to drill in our own waters, thus driving up our fuel costs and putting Americans out of work, yet right across the international border, Mexico and Cuba are drilling and they aren't having problems. There is no risk, except to the American economy while this bunch of clowns is running the country.

Another question we should be asking is, why do we have to drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico, in 5,000 feet of water, when there are many places on land where we can drill for oil. The answer, Salazar and the Obama clowns do not want us to have oil. We have more than enough oil resources here in the United States. Yet, thanks to the hard left and the enviro-whackos fight Americans every step of the way.

Remember the campaign of 2008? Gas prices were going through the roof and then candidate Obama said he had no problem with the high prices. His only concern was how quickly the prices rose.

Remember the gas spike of 2008? Do you remember how it ended? George Bush issued an executive order lifting the ban on domestic drilling. That day, oil prices began to drop. One of Obama's first acts was to reinstate that ban. Today, gas prices are at least a dollar a gallon higher than they were when Obama took office.

With the economy in the tank and millions of Americans out of work, drilling in the Gulf would put Americans back to work and help the economy. Sounds like a great idea.

It is a great idea... to everyone, except those in the Obama regime.

US Is 'Practically Owned' by China: Analyst

The US supremacy as the top world economy will end sooner than many people believe, so gold is a better investment than the dollar despite it hitting a new record, Tom Winnifrith, CEO at financial services firm Rivington Street Holdings, told CNBC.com Monday.

The US trade deficit and debt continue to grow and the authorities are reluctant to address the problem, preferring to print money, Winnifrith said. "America is practically owned by China," he said. He reminded of the fact that in 1900, sterling was the world's reserve currency but by 1948, that was no longer the case as the British Empire collapsed.

"America is doing what Britain did," Winnifrith said. "America spends much more than it can afford and it's not addressing the issue." In 1832, China and India were the world's two largest economies and by 2032, they will regain that status, he predicted. "The 200 years when Britain and the US were the top two economies were an aberration and that will change," Winnifrith said.

"The decline of empires has happened much faster than folks think. I believe that gold will be a far better bet in 20 years than the dollar," he added.
